Rhythm Studio App Reviews

As an old fan of btbx from the guys at pulsecode, it was great to see their new app on both iPad and iPhone. It is indeed as great as btbx, you have fun in seconds making your tune. There are still a few things to get right (navigation can be tricky) but hey for that price youd better not wait. Love the synth sounds.

but you just could export your Songs like "Use in iMovie" And on the iPod touch 5g there is a black border at the bottom.

This is not what I thought It would be. The synths are barely customizable at all, and you dont have much control over your notes. Only buy this if you know this and are okay with it!

Need to alter the interface for ipod touch...very little control everything is out of whack when you try to control the sounds, hard to get it to start and stop recording...fortunately I dont mind random happenings and like the sounds that it generates...just do not buy if you want control of it all.

This app was fun to play around with, but its difficult to fully understand how to use. If youre a noon like myself, the machines can seem very complex. Something that would make this app much better is if there were a tutorial in the beginning so I could learn how to fully use this app. Other than that its fun though :)

Great quality, great interface, good sounds! BUT: -A tutorial is suggested, as it is very complex -maybe the ability to record voice or lyrics would be nice -the ability to create your own layers just some thoughts for future updates

After about an hour of tweeking...Ive managed to lay down some sick instrumentals. I had to take my brain back to the old school ways of counting bars and placing each instrument in line...but overall its good. Its not an easy pick up and play type of app and you really need a strong music background to fully take advantage of what this app offers. I give it one thumb up for now until you add the following... - Video Tutorial, show people how to make a song with this app from start to finish. - Visual track editor, show bars or clips of the song we are building. We should be able to lay down tracks, at least 8. - Master BPM display - Copy/Paste clips/bars Please fix the app guys, dont be ghey like a lot of other music app developers... ;)

Very nice synth tool to fool around with.

Ive bought nearly every synth that has been produced for the iPad. I quite like this application, and the sounds it generates. I should also mention that the support for the app is quite good. I had a problem with the app after upgrading to is 5. I wrote the company and they wrote back with the solution in under 24 hours. Thats customer service!

Ive had this app for about two months now and I still dont know how it works! So please, the next time you update add a tutorial and an export for SoundCloud!

For the 1 dollar I payed and the 3 hours Ive used it Ive never made a better app purchase on here in the past 4 years. I would love to see more hip hop orientated tools. I have never used a db or any the synths in my life and I understood them very quick. I find the zoom out feature annoying there should be an option to not have the multitouch zoom and just a button up top to zoom out and click the thumb to zoom in, that way you could add multi touch gestures on the synths Id think. All in all amazing. I wish there was a way to see all tracks in a sequencer at once like in FL. Gets this when its hot and cheap. I know the future will hold so much more. dont listen to bad reviews the help guide explains everything. love the update again!

I really like this app but I dont understand how to anything! Can you PLEASE add a video tutorial for making songs & tips and tricks and stuff like that. It would REALLY help. Thanks!

I bought this for one reason, and one reason only - to be able to sequence a quick-and-dirty classic 808 beat and, for the odd time, sequence a 303 line, which are both difficult to approximate with other emulations out there. That is all I use it for, and it does the job pretty decently. Gripes are that it doesnt have channel mute and solo, no fx routing, and most annoying of all, the otherwise excellent real time recording input pad plays your note input on loop in 16note intervals. The result is that single kick and snare input ends up doubling up, or worse, making a mess you have to clean up in the step sequencer. That renders it practically useless, and thats a shame as I dont think Ive found an accurate 808 emulated with what would otherwise be an excellent real time input controller. In other words, this app would deserve a higher rating if some features were actually removed.

Please please please make a tips and tricks guide inside the app so we know how to get good sounds also more than 4 instruments per track would be cool. Please add more awesome instruments!!!!

I have no use for this, but then again some day in the future maybe i may... but still i have no use for it.
